Legitimately Mallie is a new, episodic podcast brought forward with a tv sitcom show feel to the audience via unconventional methods, thanks to the coronavirus putting a damper on most filming.
According to the synopsis: “It’s a super cute and positive show about Mallie, the know it all teen who doesn’t quite know it all, leading the charge. She and her besties, Ernie and Sophie, take on typical challenges with the finesse of a bull in a China cabinet. There’s truly never a dull moment when the trio is in the mix.”
Positive press for the production includes these stories on NBC 5 News and FOX 40.

It has been an amazing blessing working on Legitimately Mallie. This show was created by my mom and me 3 years ago, so to actually see it come to life is tremendously rewarding for me. It’s an added bonus that the show is named after me and I star in the show as the character of Mallie. The production and experience have been wonderful on so many levels. The cast and crew are fantastic and we’re now like a little family. What makes this show significantly special is how diverse the cast is, the format of the show where we always present a dilemma and learn a valuable lesson is awesome and the fact that it’s a show that is nostalgic of the “ older”, wholesome shows where entire families could sit down and listen/watch together. There is truly something for everyone is this show. Launching season one of Legitimately Mallie has truly been a dream come true. There are 11 episodes in this season and each one is better than the one before. I am truly thankful and honored to be a member of this production.
She is a glass-half-full kind of girl.
My best friends would tell you that I always have a positive outlook on things no matter how grim they seem. I am definitely a glass half full type of girl and I’m eternally optimistic. My friends and I have lots of similarities and differences, but that’s what makes our relationship so great.
She believes is staying true to herself no matter what.
I would have to say the biggest negative pressure is being expected to fit in and do what everyone else is doing. Standing out and daring to be yourself is sometimes frowned upon by our peers, so it takes courage to be unapologetically original and to not follow the crowd. If being my true self means I have to stand alone, then I am perfectly fine with doing that. Anyone who knows me knows that is my personality. I believe in being a kind, honest and fair person who treats others how I want to be treated. I will never turn away from being my true self no matter how much pressure I am under.
Vegan cooking is her specialty.
Honestly, I love cooking and creating all sorts of vegan friendly dishes. I eat a plant- based diet, with the exception of seafood, so I have become known for my excellent baking and chef skills around my family.
But she will gladly hand over the reins in the kitchen to her mom for SPAGHETTI!
My mom’s SPAGHETTI is a must have EVERY WEEK! Oh my goodness, it is absolutely delicious and we never get tired of it.

Gracie Silva
She enjoys diversity.
I’m so grateful that I was given the opportunity by Ms. Mahalia to be a part of LM. We filmed the first episodes over the course of 3-4 days about a year and a half ago. The cast and crew are all super professional and creative. I loved getting to work with Mallie, Dieter, and Molly because we got along super fast. I love playing my character Sophie whether it be on screen or through voiceover. She is full of life and I love her quirky personality. I think LM is so special because it’s not like a lot of the other shows on television. Each LM episode has a different theme and different lessons are taught to each of the characters. Our cast and crew is also very diverse and represents people of all different backgrounds.
She prides herself on her competence.
My best friend would say that my best quality is my dedication. I have a lot of interests and when I put my mind to something, I do it and I do it well. I always defend what I know is right and work hard to pursue all of my dreams.
Positive affirmations help her.
The biggest negative pressure that I think a lot of teens all deal with is self worth and confidence. My primary struggle is being afraid of what other people think of me, and I still struggle with it today. Only you know who you want to be. About a year ago, I often felt like people were judging me for pursuing my acting career which made me feel very insecure since I wasn’t doing all of the same “normal” things as all of my other friends. It took time, but when I just focused on myself and what was important to me, I regained my confidence and embraced who I truly am. It’s all about believing in yourself. If you tell yourself every day that you are smart, beautiful, strong, loved, and talented, then you will be! And everyone will see that bright light that’s waiting to shine within you.
Journaling is a hobby she finds both productive and relaxing.
Something few people know about me is that I love writing and journaling. I write in a journal every morning to get my thoughts out before the day starts. It makes me feel accomplished, even at 6:30 AM, and it makes me feel relaxed and confident to take on the day ahead of me.
One food she must eat at least once per week is:
MOCHI! Mochi is a Japanese dessert made of ice cream wrapped in a rice cake. It’s shaped like a little ball and it’s so sweet and chewy! The flavors are endless, but my favorite is strawberry and mango.

He stans his LM cast and crew.
The defining factor that sets Legitimately Mallie apart from any other project I’ve worked on is definitely the people. The cast and crew on and behind the screen truly are an amazing group of talented individuals, and their passion and drive for this show truly makes being part of Legitimately Mallie so special and you feel like you are part of a family. Legitimately Mallie’s and crew has made working on this project a true joy and honor, and I am glad to be making history right along side them.
His friends are some of his biggest cheerleaders.
My friends, quirky and crazy as they may be, have always been there cheering me on every step of the way on the journey of being an actor, and that is something I will forever be grateful for. And with them watching me walk along this process, I would say that my friends think my best quality would be my perseverance. The ability to not get knocked down, and to always keep on trying and pushing everyday.
He has some advice for teens that want to fit in.
The teenage world is truly like a jungle and, and you seemingly have to fight all the time to fit into the hierarchy within this jungle we have created, and I think that right there is one of the most negative pressures we as teens can and probably all have experienced before. That is to fit in. Sadly, today we sometimes get too preoccupied with being cool and fitting in that we lose sight of ourselves and make choices that we know we wouldn’t do if it weren’t for those pressures. To not fall into the trap of being accepted, you have to firstly learn to accept yourself for exactly what you are right now, you have to be able to take a good look in the mirror and say to yourself that you’re perfect as is, and that no one can take that away from you. Once you have that rock solid assurance that you are exactly who you are supposed to be, you will be unstoppable.

I believe that people would be surprised to learn that I am a fully bilingual person. I can read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish, which is an ability I am very grateful for having.
Its all about the flan, man.
Definitely I can not go a week without fulfilling the needs of my sweet tooth, and my go to dessert as of late has been a Mexican dessert known as flan. Trust me it is the best of the best when it comes to desserts in my opinion.
