Getting recognized was a surreal moment for her.

My most memorable moment was attending BeautyCon 2019 and seeing all of my fans in real life. People knew me, photographers on the red carpet knew and it just felt so surreal. I ended up making a lot of new friends and just felt happy that people came up to me and said that I inspire them. It confirmed my work and what I had been doing. From posting projects online to my daily pep talks on Instagram. I knew and I still know I’m growing towards the right direction.

There is one moment she would like a “do over” on.

Once I got a really good message from a casting director, while I was in the middle of Beverly Hills. I just looked at the message and started dancing. It was my happy dance. I do it at home all the time when I get a good message. The embarrassing thing was that I forgot I was in public. People looked at me but I just kept dancing and couldn’t believe it. Now, that was embarrassing enough but four of my guy friends saw me from across the street and started filming me. They still tease me over that video because I look crazy in it. But a good happy crazy πŸ™‚ If I could go back in time, I would probably go to a quiet street and dance and not in the middle of Beverly Hills.

She sticks to her standards, and recommends you do too.

I think one of the most difficult things for females in the show business is the constant pressure of competing against other female entertainers. The truth is that all of us can be successful. It’s hard to make friends because most people think you want to steal their shine but I have never been part of that scene. I like to make genuine friends when I meet people on set or at events. I don’t think changing myself in order to be more popular would help me. Changing yourself because you feel pressured equals losing yourself. I have always stayed true to myself, which may seem pretty heavy for some people because I stick to my standards.

My message to younger girls and boys is to stay true themselves and their values. Don’t change because your friends don’t like it. Don’t change for a guy. The right people will come at some point. Sometimes you may be too much for some people and that’s ok. They are not meant to be in your life. It means you think deeper, more meaningful and intentional. Don’t settle for less. That’s what I tell myself every day and go out to accomplish my goals. Honestly, that’s how pressure doesn’t affect me as much because I give myself pep talks and analyze the situation that may give me anxiety or pressure me. It’s important to have confidence in yourself and not idolize anyone. You can get inspired but don’t idolize. If you want to get to the same point as your idol, you can’t see yourself as less. You can accomplish anything you want as long as you believe in yourself and truly work for it.

She is more than a pretty face.

Most people don’t know this because I never talk about it but I am a pretty big nerd. I love science documentaries, history, philosophy and am a big finance person. One of my hobbies is reading. I pretty much read any type of genre that feeds my mind and soul. I have been writing scripts, short stories, and books since I was a little kid. I love the smell of fresh paper and the feeling of a new pen between fingers. Going into a library excites me. Yes, I know. It sounds really nerdy but it’s part of who I am. I think everyone has a nerdy side to them they just have to discover it.

Lobster? She’ll pass.

I am plant-based and really happy about it but one thing I would NEVER eat is seafood. I don’t understand how people can eat lobster and see it pretty much dead on their plates. Every time someone has ordered shrimp or lobster at an event I left the table immediately. I know it may be rude but I can’t lie it’s disgusting.
